Le Sserafim is a South Korean girl group formed by Source Music. The group consists of five members: Sakura, Kim Chae-won, Huh Yun-jin, Kazuha, and Hong Eun-chae. Originally a six-member group, Kim Ga-ram left on July 20, 2022, after the termination of her exclusive contract. Le Sserafim debuted on May 2, 2022, with the release of their first extended play, Fearless. The group made a significant impact with their debut EP, as Fearless sold more than 175,000 copies on its first day of release, breaking the record for the highest single-day sales for the debut album of a female K-pop act.
The EP went on to receive a 2x platinum certification in South Korea for selling over 500,000 copies. Its title track of the same name reached the top ten on South Korea’s Circle Digital Chart and was certified platinum for streaming in Japan. The Japanese version of the single was released physically in Japan, where it was certified 2x platinum for sales. Le Sserafim continued their success with their second extended play, Antifragile, which became their first release to be certified million for selling over a million copies in South Korea. Its title track, “Antifragile,” peaked at number two in South Korea and was certified platinum for streaming in Japan.
The group’s first studio album, Unforgiven, further solidified their position in the industry by becoming their first number-one album on the Circle Album Chart and their second release to sell over a million copies in South Korea. It was supported by two singles, “Unforgiven” and “Eve, Psyche & the Bluebeard’s Wife,” both of which reached number two in South Korea and were certified gold for streaming in Japan. The Japanese version of the single “Unforgiven” was also released physically in Japan, where it was certified platinum for sales.
