Before Up 2 Më, Yeat was mostly a TikTok rumor. His 4L mixtape had thrown off a few viral sparks, and that was enough to land a one-album deal with Interscope, which released this debut on September 10, 2021. 2 Alivë is where Yeat stopped being a curiosity and became a top-ten act. Released February 18, 2022 through Geffen, Interscope and Field Trip, it moved 35,000 equivalent units in week one and opened at No. 6 on the Billboard 200. Yeat said going in that he didn’t want a 21-feature pile-up, and he mostly kept that promise. Released February 24, 2023 through Geffen, Field Trip and Twizzy Rich, AftërLyfe has one credited guest, YoungBoy Never Broke Again on “Shmunk,” plus Yeat’s own alter egos, Kranky Kranky and Luh Geeky. Where AftërLyfe sprawled, 2093 came with a concept: a dystopian corporate police state, teased through a trailer inspired by Nineteen Eighty-Four. Released February 16, 2024 via Capitol, Field Trip and Lyfestyle Corporation, it brought in Lil Wayne and Future, and a Phase 2 deluxe a day later added Drake on “As We Speak.” Childish Gambino also contributes background vocals to “Power Trip.” The album opened at No. 2 with 70,000 units, and “Breathe” became the breakout, peaking at No. 42 on the Hot 100 and going RIAA Gold. At 22 tracks and roughly 70 minutes, it’s a big listen. Reviews landed in the middle, with a Metacritic score of 62.

Lyfestyle is the record that finally planted Yeat at No. 1. Released October 18, 2024, it debuted atop the Billboard 200 with 89,000 units, 60,000 of them pure sales, boosted by his first CD release and a run of merch box sets. Synthetic, the executive producer, says Yeat wanted him on the entire album, and Yeat told The Fader he’d shortlisted about 4,800 beats. His own pitch was simple: his regular rap, just more polished. Guests include Don Toliver, Kodak Black, Lil Durk and Summrs. The second week was brutal, a 69-spot slide to No. 70. Pitchfork gave it 5.6/10; Slant was far warmer.
