Introducing themselves with a name that signifies unity and growth, Tomorrow X Together (TXT) has emerged as a prominent force in the realm of K-pop. Hailing from South Korea, this quintet, composed of members Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and HueningKai, is a product of the esteemed Big Hit Entertainment, now known as Big Hit Music.

Debuting on March 4, 2019, with their EP titled “The Dream Chapter: Star,” TXT made an indelible mark on the music scene. Their inaugural EP not only debuted at number one on the Gaon Album Chart but also claimed the pinnacle of the Billboard World Albums Chart, simultaneously securing a place on the prestigious US Billboard 200 at an impressive 140th position. Notably, this achievement marked the highest-charting debut album for any male K-pop group at that juncture.

The group’s lead single “Crown” soared to prominence by debuting atop the Billboard World Digital Songs chart, while TXT also ascended to the summit of the Billboard Emerging Artists chart. In a groundbreaking feat, TXT became the first Korean musical act to grace the stage and headline at Lollapalooza, one of the United States’ most prominent music festivals, solidifying their global appeal.

Garnering early commercial triumphs, the group clinched numerous accolades, including the prestigious Rookie of the Year title at the 34th Golden Disc Awards and the 2019 Melon Music Awards, as well as the titles of New Artist of the Year at the 9th Gaon Chart Music Awards and Best New Male Artist at the 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards. Following their debut EP, The Dream Chapter: Star, the album boasts eight tracks, notably the lead single ‘9 and Three Quarters (Run Away).’ Melding genres like R&B, tropical house, acoustic pop, and hip-hop, the album showcases musical diversity. Achieving commercial success, it debuted atop South Korea’s Gaon Album Chart and secured the third spot on the US Billboard World Albums chart. The Chaos Chapter: Freeze marked Tomorrow X Together’s compelling evolution. Released on May 31, 2021, the album showcased the group’s prowess as a second studio album. Helmed by Big Hit Music and Republic Records, it featured singles like “0X1=Lovesong (I Know I Love You),” “Magic,” and “Frost.” TXT’s foray into hybrid pop-rock garnered critical acclaim for its audacious sound and cohesiveness, spotlighting the members’ writing and production skills. The album soared as their fourth consecutive South Korean chart-topper, selling 630,000 copies at launch, later certified Triple Platinum by the KMCA. The repackage, ‘The Chaos Chapter: Fight or Escape,’ continued their streak, earning a Double Platinum accolade and selling over 775,000 copies by December 2021.

Still Dreaming stands as Tomorrow X Together’s inaugural Japanese-language studio album, marking a significant milestone in their musical journey. Released on January 20, 2021, by Big Hit Entertainment, Universal Music Japan, and Republic Records, the album follows their third extended play Minisode1: Blue Hour (2020) by three months. Comprising ten tracks, the album includes Japanese renditions of six of their Korean hits, new instrumental pieces, an original Japanese track titled “Force,” and the prior Japanese single “Everlasting Shine.” Fusing elements of disco, pop rock, and synth-pop, the J-pop album achieved immense success, landing atop the Oricon Albums Chart as their third consecutive number one. With over 87,000 copies sold in its debut week, the album crossed the 100,000 sales mark in Japan, securing its Gold status certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).
