The Smile Albums in Order: An experimental rock band, consisting of Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood, along with the jazz drummer Tom Skinner, the Smile broke through in the music scene with an orchestral jazz-krautrock prog arch sound.

The Albums in Order by The Smile gives artists an insight into the prolific approach to music production, beginning with the majorly important album A Light for Attracting Attention (2022), which received high accolades for its detailed soundscapes and experimenting with a new musical venture.

Their second album, Wall of Eyes (2024), was another take on this a little further: more post-punk and math rock sounds went in. The third album, Cutouts (2024), also recorded during the Wall of Eyes sessions, shows even more spontaneity and freeness; they are turning into a band that plays outside of genre lines. Each of their albums espouses this quest for artistic freedom away from their roots with Radiohead.
