The debut studio album “Sundowning” from Sleep Token, makes for a captivating entrance to the rock and metal scene. The recording process took place at G1 Productions by producer George Lever. Released on September 24, 2021, This Place Will Become Your Tomb is Sleep Token’s ambitious sophomore record and follow-up to the 2020 breakout LP Sundowning. Produced by George Lever, return man from the first record, it furthers the ambitious vision of metal, rock, and ambient influences that Sleep Token is known for. Singles like “Alkaline,” “The Love You Want,” and “Fall for Me” just foretold a critical and commercial breakout with their diversified, genre-spanning artistry and emotional depth. This Place Will Become Your Tomb debuted at number 39 on the UK Albums Chart and showed the progressing sound of the band, which was critically acclaimed. With Take Me Back to Eden, Sleep Token brings to a close the applauded trilogy inaugurated by Sundowning in 2019 and continued with This Place Will Become Your Tomb in 2021. Produced by Vessel and Carl Bown, this record serves up a dynamic blend of genres: from funk and electronic to metalcore and blues.
