Chaos and the Calm is the first studio album of British singer-songwriter James Bay, released March 23, 2015 by Republic Records. It combines elements of rock and folk and all-blues interpretation in one string with Bay’s emotive voice and articulate lyrical songwriting. The heart-marked single “Hold Back the River” was broadly recognized and became a hit at Grammy Nominations of Best Rock Song and Best Rock Album together with Bay’s nomination for Best New Artist.
