The List of Empress Of Albums in Order of Release Date

Lorely Rodriguez studied sound engineering at Berklee, then built her debut album on a laptop, and that hands-on streak runs through every record on this page. If you’re tracing the Empress Of Albums in Order, you’re following a Los Angeles-born, Honduran-American artist who started posting one-minute “Colorminutes” demos on YouTube in 2012. Since then she’s drifted from hazy electronic dream pop into sharp, dancefloor-ready avant-pop, and she’s rarely repeated herself along the way.
The highlights are easy to spot. “Water Water” and “Standard” made her name on Me, “When I’m with Him” ended up on the eFootball PES 2020 soundtrack, and her guest spot on Khalid’s “Suncity” gave her a Billboard Hot 100 entry at number 88. What she does have is critical love: an 82 on Metacritic for I’m Your Empress Of, an 85 for For Your Consideration, and tour slots with Lorde, Carly Rae Jepsen and Rina Sawayama. Fans of Caroline Polachek, who co-wrote her single “Go to Hell,” will feel right at home.

All Empress Of Albums List in Order
1. Me (2015)

Tracks:
- Everything Is You
- Water Water
- Standard
- How Do You Do It
- To Get By
- Kitty Kat
- Need Myself
- Make Up
- Threat
- Icon
Nothing about Me was casual. After finding New York too noisy to think in, Rodriguez borrowed a friend’s family vacation house in Valle de Bravo, Mexico, at the end of 2013 and wrote alone for weeks. She finished the record over the next year between Montreal, New York and Los Angeles, and Me arrived September 11, 2015 on XL and Terrible. Gone was the reverb fog of her Systems EP. In its place: blunt lyrics and tight, percussive electronics, with “Water Water,” “Standard” and “Icon” leading the way. It reached number nine on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart and number five on Top Dance/Electronic Albums. Pitchfork named it Best New Music.
2. Us (2018)

Tracks:
If Me was about one person hiding out, Us is about opening the door. Released October 19, 2018 through XL and Terrible, the second album pulls in a crowd of producers, including Dev Hynes, DJDS, Pional and Cole M.G.N., alongside Rodriguez herself. The sound is glossier and more direct, built around the pop-leaning “Trust Me Baby,” “Love for Me” and “When I’m with Him,” which later showed up on the eFootball PES 2020 soundtrack. Reviews ran a touch cooler than they did for her debut, with a Metacritic score of 74 and a 6.3 from Pitchfork. The same day, she also appeared on Khalid’s “Suncity,” which reached number 88 on the Hot 100.
3. I’m Your Empress Of (2020)

Tracks:
- I’m Your Empress Of
- Bit of Rain
- Void
- Love Is a Drug
- U Give It Up
- Should’ve
- Give Me Another Chance
- What’s the Point
- Maybe This Time
- Not the One
- Hold Me Like Water
- Awful
The timing couldn’t have been worse. I’m Your Empress Of landed April 3, 2020, right as the world shut down, so Rodriguez never got to tour it. That’s a shame, because it’s her most club-minded record, a twelve-song, 33-minute run of heartbreak set to house-flecked avant-pop. BJ Burton executive produced, with Jim-E Stack and Mikey Freedom Hart also contributing, and “Give Me Another Chance” and “Love Is a Drug” served as the singles. Critics loved it: Metacritic gave it an 82, and Pitchfork went 7.4. It was also her last release with XL and Terrible before she started her own label, Major Arcana.
4. For Your Consideration (2024)

Tracks:
- For Your Consideration
- Lorelei
- Preciosa
- Kiss Me (featuring Rina Sawayama)
- Femenine
- What Type of Girl Am I?
- Cura
- Fácil
- Sucia
- Baby Boy
- What’s Love (featuring Muna)
After leaving XL and Terrible, Rodriguez went fully independent for For Your Consideration, released March 22, 2024 through her own Major Arcana imprint with Giant Music. The idea started with a breakup that happened, of all things, in the middle of a film director’s Oscars campaign, and she ran with Hollywood as her metaphor. It’s bilingual, campy and packed with producers like Nick León, Umru, Billboard and Casey MQ. It’s also her first album with guests: Rina Sawayama on “Kiss Me” and MUNA on “What’s Love.” Metacritic averaged 85, Pitchfork tagged it Best New Music, and a deluxe edition wrapped up on October 4, 2024 with the bonus track “Loud.”
5. Dream House (2026)

Tracks:
- Wild Storm
- Blue Light (featuring Blood Orange)
- We Have Walls
- SYW (featuring Cecile Believe)
- I Pray 4 U
- Missing Out On
- I’m Always Home With You
- Waiting
- Machete
- HandsOn
- Nunca Tuve Miedo
- Trainsong
- Welcome to the House
- Dream House
Her newest is also her shortest. Dream House came out September 18, 2026 on Major Arcana and Giant Music, and its fourteen tracks clock in at just over 26 minutes because four of them are tiny spoken interludes voiced by Rodriguez’s mother, Reina Dubon. Blood Orange sings on “Blue Light,” and Canadian artist Cecile Believe joins her on “SYW.” Producers include Dave Sitek, Stella Mozgawa and Leclair, alongside Rodriguez herself. The singles “Dream House,” “Wild Storm,” “SYW” and “HandsOn” set the table over the spring and summer. The album is only days old, so critic scores and chart numbers aren’t in yet.
All Empress Of Tours in Order by Year
Empress Of has spent as much time on other people’s stages as her own. After the Me cycle she toured the UK and North America, then opened for Maggie Rogers, Lizzo, Carly Rae Jepsen, Rina Sawayama and Lorde, and headlined her own runs behind Us and For Your Consideration. Festival slots have included Primavera Sound, Outside Lands and Pitchfork Music Festival. Dream House dates in the UK and Europe have been announced, plus a Brooklyn show at Music Hall of Williamsburg on September 30, 2026.
- Me & You Tour (with Abra), 2015
- UK and European headlining tour, 2016
- Us headlining tour (North America with Salt Cathedral, plus festivals), 2018–2019
- Heard It in a Past Life Tour (opening for Maggie Rogers), 2019
- Cuz I Love You Too Tour (opening for Lizzo), 2019
- The So Nice Tour (opening for Carly Rae Jepsen), 2022
- Hold the Girl World Tour (opening for Rina Sawayama), 2023
- For Your Consideration headlining world tour, 2024
- Ultrasound World Tour (opening for Lorde), 2025
Conclusion
Look at the Empress Of Albums in Order and you can watch an artist grow up in public. Me was the sound of one person alone in a room. Us threw the doors open to collaborators, I’m Your Empress Of turned heartbreak into house-tinged pop, and For Your Consideration made Hollywood camp her own stage. Now Dream House, out since September 18, 2026, threads her mother’s voice through a stack of short, sharp songs. She’s independent, still collaborating widely, and still hard to predict. Start at the beginning or jump to the newest record. Whatever comes next, it probably won’t sound like the last thing.
