DNCE, an American dance-rock sensation, burst onto the music scene in 2015 with a lineup featuring lead singer Joe Jonas, drummer Jack Lawless, guitarist JinJoo Lee, and the talented bassist and keyboardist Cole Whittle. Their eclectic musical style, which seamlessly blended dance-rock, dance-pop, pop rock, and funk-pop, quickly earned them widespread recognition.

The band inked a deal with Republic Records, setting the stage for the release of their debut single, “Cake by the Ocean,” which dropped on September 18, 2015. The song soared up the charts, peaking at number nine on the US Billboard Hot 100 and establishing DNCE as a musical force to be reckoned with. Their debut extended play (EP), ‘Swaay,’ followed on October 23, 2015, while their self-titled debut studio album hit the shelves on November 18, 2016. The band’s infectious music earned them nominations for prestigious awards, including a nod for Favorite New Artist at the 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards and recognition at the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards.

DNCE’s electrifying performances also graced the stage of the 2017 Fashion Meets Music Festival. After a brief hiatus, the band made a triumphant return in February 2022 with a collaboration with Kygo titled “Dancing Feet.” However, as of mid-2023, DNCE has once again gone on hiatus, leaving fans eagerly awaiting their next musical adventure.
