Released on July 10, 2000, Parachutes is the debut studio album by British rock band Coldplay, and was produced by Coldplay and Ken Nelson, whilst “High Speed” was produced by Chris Allison. The second studio album from Coldplay, “A Rush of Blood to the Head” is released on August 26, 2002. The band was still basking in the success of its debut, Parachutes, and went to produce this new album with producer Ken Nelson, highly dominated by electric guitar and piano. This was one of the UK’s best-selling albums to date. In terms of worldwide sales, it has sold over 17 million. It debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and sold over 3 million copies certified 10× Platinum in the UK. The ‘X&Y’ is Coldplay’s third studio album, released June 6, 2005 by Parlophone in the UK and June 7, 2005 by Capitol Records in the US. Challenges produced the album. Manager Phil Harvey had temporarily departed, and producer Danton Supple was brought in to contribute to it. Most of what intended producer Ken Nelson had done was dismissed due to a change in creative philosophy. The album cover art features a color mosaic and block form that is encased in the Baudot code. The record comprises 12 tracks and a secret song, ‘Til Kingdom Come,’ meant to feature Johnny Cash with Chris Martin. ‘X&Y’ topped charts in 32 countries on its international launch and sold over 8.3 million copies worldwide, as it became the best-selling album of 2005, included singles Speed of Sound and Fix You.

Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends, commonly known as Viva la Vida, is the third studio album from Coldplay, issued on 12 June 2008 through Parlophone. The title translates roughly to mean “long live life,” and the entire album makes mention of love, life, death, and war. Recording was done between November 2006 and April 2008, with production from Brian Eno, who completely changed the sound of the band.

In fact, it is almost impossible to think about the perfect fusion of art and style in an album without inspiring its graphic art by reproducing the beauty of Eugène Delacroix’s Liberty Leading the People, a painting from 1830. Mylo Xyloto” is the fifth studio album by the British rock band Coldplay. The album, released on 24 October 2011, marks their collaboration with producer Brian Eno for the second time after the grand success of “Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends” in 2008. The album is a concept piece and thematic rock opera based on the story of Silencia, a planet invaded by the totalitarian regime of Major Minus. It is the story of a “silencer” in the army that puts out the “sparks.” The people are “sparks” that are created through the use of light and energy. Ghost Stories is the sixth studio album by Coldplay, which was released on 19 May 2014 through Parlophone and Atlantic Records. Recorded in London and Los Angeles in 2013, the album was co-produced by the band and other artists like Paul Epworth and Dan Green. It marked a switch for the band to Atlantic for North American distribution following Universal Music’s acquisition of EMI. A Head Full of Dreams is the seventh studio album by Coldplay, released on December 4, 2015. Coldplay’s eighth studio album Everyday Life, was released on 22 November 2019 by Parlophone and Atlantic Records. The album is divided into two sections, one entitled Sunrise and the other entitled Sunset, dealing with union, inequality, and worldwide social issues. The band, in another first for an album release, livestreamed each half of the album from Amman Citadel in Jordan at sunrise and sunset. Global influences, from jazz and Afrobeat, penetrate the music through returning producers Rik Simpson, Dan Green, and Bill Rahko, so there was no better response to the politically charged words than to pan the album for its experimental approach. The tenth studio album from Coldplay is scheduled for release on October 4, 2024, and is titled Moon Music, formally Music of the Spheres Vol. II: Moon Music. A sequel to their ethereal work Music of the Spheres released in 2021, From Earth with Love, some parts of the album were partly recorded in Spain and feature talent such as Jon Hopkins, Burna Boy, Little Simz, and Tini.
