Composed by Don Gilmore, this features hits like “Your Betrayal” and “The Last Fight,” all drenched in the idea of betrayal, pain, and emotional questioning. The album marks out singles like “Temper Temper” and “Riot.” It further marked out the last full-length record that featured the bassist Jason James before his departure. Mixed reception brought it a No. 13 on the US Billboard 200.

“Venom” was also, in a sense, the swan song of Bullet For My Valentine’s career with Sony Music, and not only presented new bassist Jamie Mathias, since frontman Matt Tuck recorded all bass parts, but also marked it fifth studio album in discography of Welsh heavy metal band, released on August 14, 2015 through RCA Records. (Here’s a War),” Venom released severe, emotive soundscapes. However, they were labeled incongruous at the time of their release, so it can only really be considered a semi-successful record with fans of purely metal music; meanwhile, the album remains a chart-topper in the UK Rock & Metal Albums and climbed to No. 8 on the US Billboard 200, thus being a landmark within the metal genre.

6. Gravity (2018)

  10. Don’t Need You
  11. Breathe Underwater

Gravity is the sixth studio album by Bullet For My Valentine. It marked a bold step away from the sound that Welsh heavy metal band was used to and instead went with a more nu-metal approach. Rather reminiscent of the earlier days of the band, this new record was a first for Spinefarm Records; it came out on June 29, 2018, also marking the first appearance of drummer Jason Bowld and bassist Jamie Mathias as contributors. Lead single “Over It” premiered exclusively on BBC Radio 1 in April last year. The album received no praises for glowing reviews; some were rather praising its catchiness and accessibility, while other critics panned it for a departure from signature metalcore sound. Gravity peaked at #17 US Billboard 200.

  10. Death by a Thousand Cuts

Released by Spinefarm Records on November 5, 2021 following delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, “Bullet for My Valentine” is a post-pandemic seventh studio effort from the Welsh heavy metal band. Produced by Carl Bown, this is a heavier and more technically rooted effort than the earlier offerings from the band with aggressive vocals and crushing riffs – in contrast to the work up to this point of the band with the album Gravity. Generally favorable reviews Kerrang! and Louder Sound powering it up with its energy.Songs like “Knives” and “Parasite” promise a tough addition to the band’s catalog, pleasing fans on equal terms.

Conclusion:

Bullet For My Valentine developed a very distinct, heavy metal melodic veneer, ranging from crude beginnings to more refined form. Starting with The Poison in 2005, after which the band quickly was seen worldwide, Scream Aim Fire in 2008 immediately rounded off the sound and then Fever in 2010. With Temper Temper in 2013, the success was maintained; on Venom 2015, the band went back into crunchier material. As for the modern metalcore influence, it is reasonable to see this in Gravity (2018). In fact, one may say that through the self-titled album, Bullet for My Valentine (2021), they put themselves strongly in the metal scene.
